Antonio Tremere, a former highwayman, stole a fortune and now wants a noble title. The only place he can find one is in Transylvania. So he heads there, with his entourage of hangers-on.

Unfortunately, Transylvania has its secrets. After getting lost in the fog and passing through some strange gates, they find themselves in the strange land of Barovia. Above them a large, gothic castle looks down on the land. The home of the Lord Strahd.
