Grant contacts Cheri and arrange for her to come to Derwyn to organise the party.
The party visit a miner’s diner and bar. Drent and Cyrus talk to miners. Drent gets one to chat about a time when he was trapped and had to fight for the last respirator.
Grant, Dirk and Ace talk to the barman Discover Zonnos Hunt buys T there. They leave.
Cyrus messages Sloane telling him about rumours that Zonnos takes T. Is there hard evidence? Does Popara know?
Grant passes a woman arriving just as he leaves, but doesn’t realise until afterward it’s Angela Krin, Captain of the Resolute, the ship that was enforcing the blockade on Endregaad.
InfoVid tells Grant that the Resolute is currently in the Arkon system, investigating the Tempest problem further.
Sloane messages back saying Zonnos on T is an open secret. Only his father does not know. Why are you asking? Cyrus tells him Popara asked them to look into T.
Then evening, Angela Krin calls, asking to meet Grant and that he keep her presence quiet until they do meet. When they do meet, she tells him she is looking into the T problem and asks him to keep quiet about her presence on Derwyn.
Next day, Cheri is due to arrive. She gets a taxi from the space port. Grant spends most of the day handling her. Vago calls for an update. The rest of the party do their own things.
Cyrus and Ace begin making plans to setup as drug dealers, selling T.
Party Planning
Cheri is shocked to find drug dealers are being invited to the party and argues with Grant. She wants to invite society people and disapproves of the people Grant wants there. When Grant says he needs those people there, she goes to her room.
Grant chats more with Vago and they agree that he is considering standing for Mayor of Telcos for the Democratic Party. The incumbent mayor is not great and there is a primary election coming up.
Ace arranges for Drent and Dirk to install a security system, using a budget of 1000 Cr. Ace also wants some security people for the party. He arranges for his Marine commander ally to give him 4 marines off-duty for the night. Three women and a man.
