14/12/2025 Episode Two – Talking to Ellen

Aftermath

They wait another half an hour or so, then Sebastian takes the circle down. They cautiously leave the circle, get a coffee, go to the loo and sit on the comfy chairs to talk about what happened. John gets some messages from the dark web soon after. He asks what his sister knows and she says it was some sort of hunter that was looking for someone. It did not want to kill someone though, perhaps possess them or influence them. He tells the others this.

They have a discussion about making some sort of magical trap that will capture the Fetch and hopefully find out more about it and who is behind it. Amy wonders if they can trace it back to the source.

Thoughts and Speculation

Gerald wonders if he could use Kirlian photography to take an image of the aura of the Fetch. It could then be used to try to match it to the aura of people, but he knows very little about it.

Sebastian puts the crystal shard back on the shelf and renews the protection ward around it.

They then wonder if the cult in the animal masks that they encountered at the Dream Institute are behind this.

Getting Worse

Amy says she has been feeling being watch since before the Dream Institute, but now it seems to have gotten worse. This is the first time that she has felt touched directly. Ellen, before she died, was being followed herself. It was possible that the being that had been following Ellen followed her because it could sense Ellen on her. Now it seems to have latched onto her directly.

She then takes out the Indalo that Ellen gave her and wonders what role it has. They look it up on the internet and learn it has protective properties – especially if given as a gift.

Preparing for a Séance

Amy then wonders if it would be a good idea to try to contact her, to determine what she knows. Sebastian wonders if a séance may be in order. He has done them before. A focus that belonged to Ellen would help and the Indalo will be very useful.

Gerald tells his wife he will be home late and they prepare for the séance. Sebastian creates a larger circle using chalk that will be the focus area for the séance. They clear away the sofas and then set up some small chairs and a table, with writing equipment in it.

The casting takes a while, as Sebastian draws a double circle. Gerald grabs takeaway food as it’s late and they are getting hungry. Sebastian senses the casting goes well and he feels confident. He has everyone finish their food then enter the circle, which he then finishes casting and closes.

Contacting Ellen

Sebastian then begins the séance. He has Amy sit at the table, hold the Indalo and focus on Ellen, thinking back to the events when she met her. While she does that, he calls out some incantations of summoning, which again seem to go well.

He then has Amy go into a trance and use the pen and paper on the table to enable Ellen to do some spirit writing. Amy is able to overcome her disbelief and gets into the mood. She soon begins to write Ellen’s thoughts.

I SAW YOUR TALENT. THEY ARE COMING FOR ME. THEY CAUGHTY ME. I MADE A MISTAKE.

I WAS STUPID. I HAVE PAID THE PRICE. I NEED TO TELL …. SAVE … BUT IT’S TOO LATE.

TAKE THIS.

Sebastian: Ellan can you hear me? Who are after you?

ANIMAL CULTISTS. ARACHNE.

THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. INFILTRATING.

WE NEED TO STOP THEM.

Sebastian: Do you have the name of their command? Their leader?

MAGONDATHOG.

Sebastian: Do you have a contact in SAVE?

CHARLES HOPKINS

Sebastian: Is this presence being sent by the cultists?

THEY SENT A STALKER TO KILL ME.

Gerald: Why did they want to kill you?

I WAS GETTING CLOSER TO WHO THEY WERE.

Gerald: Where do you live?

Sebastian: Do you have an address for Charles Hopkins?

CHARLES HOPKINS ….. 07865 145678 … I THINK … IT WAS IN MY PHONE.

BEWARE. STALKERS ARE DANGEROUS.

Sebastian: What is an Accumulator?

ACCUMULATOR? WHAT IS THAT?

Gerald: Is Amy special?

AMY HAS A SPECIAL TALENT. I SENSE IT. SHE CAN LINK TO SPIRITS. IT’S UNUSUAL.

ARACHNE WILL WANT TO TAKE HER.

Sebastian: That’s why they are after her.

THEY KIDNAP PEOPLE. THEY TOOK MY FAMILY. MY CHILDREN.

THEY LIKE TO USE CHILDREN. MAKE THEM INTO THEIR SERVANTS.

BRAINWASH THEM. POSSESS THEM WITH DARK SPIRITS.

CHARLES HOPKINS KNOWS MORE.

TELL HIM WHAT HAPPENED TO ME.

TELL HIM THE WICKHURST SOURCE IS VERY POWERFUL. BUT WE DON’T KNOW WHO THAT IS.

WAIT - AM I DEAD?

Sebastian: Sorry to say, yes.

I FEEL AMY IS NEAR. I SEEM TO BE LINKED TO HER.

Sebastian: Yes, she is here now with us.

YOU WILL NEED TO PROTECT HER FROM THE STALKER.

YOU WILL NEED TO CREATE PSYCHIC PROTECTION. LIKE I DID IN MY FLAT.

Sebastian: Absolutely.

I WANTED TO TRAP THE WICKHURST SOURCE BUT IT CAUGHT ME BEFORE I COULD.

TELL AMY I’M SORRY. I DIDN’T MEAN TO BRING HER INTO THIS.

Sebastian pledges to do so.

End of the Séance

Amy then begins to come round and the séance ends. Sebastian gives her some brandy to help her recover. Everyone then reads back what has been written and try to take it all in. It is clear now that Ellen was attacked and killed by the same cultists that they encountered at the Dream Institute.

Amy clearly needs protection in her home. Sebastian offers to put her up in the shop tonight. John, Damien and Gerald go home. Sebastian tells them to be on their guard before they leave. Amy sets up a bed on the couch within the protection circle that Sebastian has already drawn and she knows works. Sebastian heads upstairs to his bedroom in the flat above the shop.

Intruder in the Night

After getting a few hours’ sleep, Amy wakes up during the night and she can hear noises in the shop. When the box with the crystal shard in it is rattles, she realises that the invisible spirit is back. She quickly calls Sebastian, but he is deeply asleep. Damien answers his phone quickly and agrees to head back to the shop. Gerald answers, but he is far away and won’t likely get there quickly. He does try to call Sebastian, including calling the shop phone, which initially surprises Amy.

John answers and says he will ask her sister to help, but she struggles to work out where the shop is from the spirit world, with John not being there. In the end, he gets up and heads to the shop himself.

Circle Broken

The spirit continues to fuss around the box with the crystal Shard. Eventually, Amy decides to throw a pillow at it from inside the circle, causing the shard box to fall on the floor. There is then sounds of the spirit tapping around on the floor, trying to locate the shard, but it has fallen between two floor boards.

Then it seems to sense Amy, as she has broken the circle by throwing the pillow. It begins to head towards her and she faintly hears it whisper her name. She realises she can’t stay in the circle and runs upstairs, waking Sebastian up.

Damien Takes the Shard

Then Damien starts knocking on the front door of the shop. Sebastian quickly gets dressed and heads down stairs quickly, with Amy behind him. As he passes through the shop, he bumps into the invisible spirit, which lashes out at him, but misses and damages a book shelf. At the door of the shop, Sebastian opens the door, but he and Amy then leave the shop, to Damien’s surprise.

Damian then uses his aura vision and sees the same humanoid shape as last time, though it looks a little weaker than last time. It is a few feet from the door, apparently feeling around and searching. It clearly can’t “see” and relies on some sort of psychic sense. It seems to have gone back to trying to get the shard from the floor.

Damien decides to rush into the shop and grab the piece of shard from the floor before the spirit can get it. He then grabs a book and puts the shard between some pages, puts the book into his backpack, jump on his bike and drive away, as fast as he can.

Help from the Dark Web

Sebastian and Amy decides to move away from the shop, just in time to bump into John, who has just arrived. They get him up to speed. He then tries to get his sister Amanda on the dark web to try to determine exactly where the spirit is, but that is not easy. She can tell the spirit is fairly near him at the moment, but not next to him.

John then uses a “hotter, colder” system to move into the shop, trying to get his sister to determine if it is closer or further away. He comes very close to the thing and hears it growling, which spooks him and causes him to drop his phone, cutting off his access to Amanda. He decides to risk grabbing for it and is able to get it, but now it’s between him and the door. He backs further into the shop as the spirit is now in the doorway.

John then asks Amanda how he can attack the creature. She tells him it is a projected spirit. He needs to attack it with his spirit, but it won’t be powerful enough. A magician will know what to do.

The Spirit Fades

Once it leaves the shop, the spirit begins to get confused. John and Amy can sense its presence fading again. Eventually they are fairly sure it has gone. Damien then heads back and they enter the shop. They agree that the person projecting the spirit must be spent for now and it would be safe for Damien to take Amy home.

Sebastian puts the shard back into its box and renews the magical protection around it.
