Darling DeVille

Darling is a YouTube personality, who's channel, The 9th Dimension, does investigations into the Supernatural. She appears occasionally on panels on daytime TV.

She is incredibly vain. Any sort of heroics, dogoodery, or notions of keeping evil at bay is only a thinly veiled attempt at increasing her popularity and image.

William Hackett

William is an overweight, middle aged man in a standard grey suit. He's a practising Solicitor but he's not interested in the law nor especially good at it. He largely uses AI tools now to give legal advice for his clients but makes out this takes days of research.

One of his clients is Darling DeVille, who has got so popular they need to start checking about libel. He has also found himself interested in the investigations.

His habits are unhealthy, he drinks and he can make serious slip ups. Those qualities are probably why he was fired from his previous job.

Despite all that he does have serious talent and is calm headed in the face of real danger and the supernatural.

Delwin Earlbourne-Brown

Delwin comes from a long line of female psychics. He has taken up the family tradition, practising the confidence tricks and personal reading well enough to make himself a living on Blackpool seafront and the Psychic show tour circuit. (It's all a lot easier now you can stalk people's facebook profiles).

Delwin is an over emotional coward who tends to break down at the mere suggestion of confrontation. He is also increasingly troubled by dreams where he understands the thoughts of others and seems to be able to plant ideas in the minds of others. He is yet to leverage this talent successfully in his work though, as the visions are normally accompanied by bouts of vomiting and incontinence.

Sam Powell

Sam is hired muscle, acting as a body guard and bouncer for unwanted intruders into the 9th Dimenson filming area. He is well built and has a slightly disfigured face.

Sam spent some time in the Army, deployed in Afghanistan. After some unusual encounters in the mountains, he was cashiered out of the Army. He now makes money doing security and protection work.

Seneschal Muscovy

Sen is French-Canadian originally from Quebec. He is a semi-professional hockey player. His main role on in The 9th Dimension is a counterpart to Darling, asking her questions and prompting her. His handsome looks and athletic figure also help the ratings.

San is always known as Mr Fix-It, as he is good at fixing elecrtical and mechanical things that go wrong.

Terry (Terence) Small

Terry is the camera man, editor, manager technical guy for The 9th Dimenson. He is a workaholic and constantly on the go. Some people who are good judge of situations will recognise that he is key to the success of the channel.

There are some suggestions that Terry and Darling are in a relationship, but neither talk about it.

Miles & Cassandra Fairchild-Harrow

Miles and Cassandra are rich property owners. They own a large house outside of a village in Hertfordshire, not too far from St Albans.

They have spent a lot of money doing up an old manor house to make it their new home. However, the house has a problem. A strange red stain keeps re-appearing on the wall.

Cassandra is an avid fan of The 9th Dimenson and Darling Deville. She has contacted the manager, Terry, asking for the team to come and investigate this stain.
