Banquo is the bastard-son of Gordon Baird, the last true-blooded Laird of the Baird clan. Gordon mysteriously disappeared a few years ago, after heading out alone. He was never found and the Clan was left leaderless with a succession crisis. The Baird clan was taken over by distant relatives, with Liddell Baird-MacGregors taking over leadership.
Banquo was looked after by his father until his death, but when Liddell took over, Banquo realised his life was at risk. Banquo decided to join the Guardians, a Knightly order who enforce the Mhor's Law in Mhoried. He also left his family home and went to live with his friend Sam of the Allardice clan.
The Clan Baird honour personal martial prowess and Banquo has taken this to heart, becoming a skilled warrior, but lacking many other skills. Banquo is brave and loyal, but not that intelligent. He can also be naive, though he was smart enough to realise he had to leave his home when the Baird-MacGregors came.

Eóghan is a cousin and bannerman to Laird Dougal MacRuaidhri, Eóghan's leadership and experience provide valuable guidance and support to the group. His sense of duty to his clan and loyalty to Laird Dougal drive him to ensure the success of the mission, but his protective instincts toward his kinsmen may lead to clashes with other members of the group who have different priorities.
Eóghan's martial prowess and strategic thinking make him a formidable ally in combat, but his rigid adherence to tradition and authority could create tension within the group, especially if his decisions conflict with the interests of other members.
Lachlann's jovial and outgoing personality brings levity to the group, but his fierce loyalty to his clan and cousin Laird Dougal underscores his commitment to the mission's success. His skills as a storyteller and entertainer serve to boost morale and forge connections with NPCs they encounter along the way.
However, Lachlann's impulsive nature and penchant for mischief could land the group in trouble if left unchecked. Despite his light-hearted demeanor, Lachlann's determination to uphold the honor of Clan MacRuaidhri and ensure the safety of Prince Edmund drives him to confront danger head-on, even at great personal risk.
As a cousin and bannerman to Laird Dougal MacRuaidhri, Ruairí's eager enthusiasm and unwavering loyalty make him a valued member of the group. His determination to prove himself and earn the respect of his kinsmen drives him to excel in combat and contribute to the mission's success in any way he can.
Ruairí's inexperience and naivety may make him vulnerable to manipulation or deception by NPCs with ulterior motives, but his earnest dedication to the cause inspires trust and camaraderie among his companions. Despite his relative lack of experience, Ruairí's courage and determination make him a valuable asset to the group as they face the challenges ahead.
