Thursday, 20 April 1702

Confront Gideon. He tells them Councillor Teugen is blessed. Tells them he cannot die until the pact is concluded.

Teugen has a strange turn at the funeral. About half an hour later, he excuses himself, feeling ill. He takes the Doctor and his four guards with him.

Adolphus and Johanna leave before them and rush to the Teugen house to warn Bart and Leon, but they cannot find them, so they return to

They meet up and find out what happened. Adolphus says Gideon is possessed by a pact Demon. He will not leave while the pact is in effect, but can be banished.

He sends Johanna to get Gerhart.

Adolphus draws a magic circle and they stay there the night, cautiously looking out for problems.

Friday, 21 April 1702

Adolphus writes a letter to Frankfurt.

Bart heads out to find silver. Discovers from a chance encounter with a beggar while trying to steal that the Theives Guild is looking for the party.

Bart goes straight to the Beggar King and has to push his way in, being seized by the BK’s men.

He makes a deal with the BK to give him the location where the Party’s safe house is but agrees to let Bart go once he has this information and warn his friends. He also sells Bart a silver candle stick, taking most of his money for it.
