Johanna suggests investigating who Maritius is.
Adolphus confronts Bart about who stole his boots and gave them to Father Xavious. It must have been Bart who “betrayed” him. Bart tries to talk his way out of this, but Adolphus remains suspicious.
They arrange another expedition to the Post Office, for Leon to check if his father has replied. A crate with gun parts has arrived when he gets there.
Johanna goes to a coffee shop and discovers that Maritius is one of the leading Merchant Guild families, but not as important as the Teugen family.
Councillor Teugen went to the University of Hamburg.
Bart negotiates with Hamish and gets Father Xavious to let him borrow him, dressing him in black and getting him to follow him to the Steinhager house, where they camp down and watch.
They kidnap elder Steinhager on the way to a meeting at Councillor Teugen’s house and take him back to their house.
Adolphus interrogates him for a while.
Find out the members of the Ordo Septenarius are:
1. Councillor Teugen.
2. Gideon Teugen.
3. Councillor Maritius.
4. Councillor Steinhager.
5. Dr Mainz.
6. Goldstein, leading local Laywer.
7. Heinrich Felden, Leading Clerk at the Council.
Find a note around his neck dedicating himself to the Lord of Light.
Father Xavious makes Steinhager confess his sins and tell them everything he knows.
He does not know where the ritual on the 30th will happen. It was going to be in the temple in the sewers, but they had to close that as it had been found out.
He tells them that there will be seven sacrifices to make the City rich, but they would not die, they would come back the life. They will be strangers who will come to the City – peasants.
Johanna shows Councillor Steinhager the picture she made of the body that was sacrificed in the sewer and he recognises him as a member of the Merchants Guild but does not know who he is.
Johanna wants to go to the Captain of the City Guard about the dead body in the sewer.
They stay up until very late and keep Steinhager prisoner.
